SP500 Heatmap does not collect, store, or share any personal information. There is no account creation, no login, and no user-generated content anywhere in the app.
The app displays publicly available S&P 500 market data — company sectors, market capitalization, historical closing prices, and live stock quotes — fetched from our own server, which in turn sources live quotes from Finnhub.io. No data about you, your device, or your usage is collected as part of this.
The app contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers. We do not know who uses the app or how.
To show market data, the app connects to our backend over HTTPS/WSS. Like any server on the internet, our hosting provider's infrastructure may log basic connection metadata (such as IP address and request timestamps) for operational purposes (e.g. abuse prevention, debugging). This information is not linked to any identity, not sold, and not used for tracking or advertising.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a revised "Last updated" date.
